What qualifications are acceptable to become a member?
Any nationally recognised horticultural
qualification,
certificate or license. Including RHS, IOG, NPTC, City and
Guilds, NVQ, SVQ, HND, LANTRA awards or similar.
The qualification does not have to be focused on garden
maintenance but should be specific to horticulture and can include design, floristry etc. Professional
licenses, such as for pesticides and chain saws, are also
acceptable as these often cost more to achieve than a full
gardening course, are a legal requirement in some instances and
indicate that the member takes safety and the environment
seriously.
Where can I get a free website?
Don't have a website?
You can build your own free
website, quickly and easily, using
www.wordpress.com,
www.blogger.com,
www.weebly.com
or www.wix.com
to name just a few!
I can't find my certificates
It is important that you keep your certificates safe in case you
are asked for them when tendering for a new contract. If you
have lost your certificates and you do not want to pay your
course provider for a duplicate then you can email them and ask
them to confirm by email that you attended and passed the
course. We will accept this email from them as evidence of your
qualification. Some form of evidence that you have a nationally
recognised horticultural qualification is always required before
membership is accepted.
