Anyone can call themselves a gardener.  Many casual workers, such as the unemployed or retired, offer cheap labour but are often unreliable and under-equipped. This makes it difficult for people to find a gardener they can trust.  As a result, the average hourly rate has changed little in over 10 years!

We believe that a professional gardener - someone dedicated to gardening as their career - is more reliable and gives greater value for money.

As a national organisation, The Gardeners Guild will help you by :

* Establishing a clear division between our members and casual workers who offer labour only.

* Negotiating member offers that would not normally be available to individuals/small businesses.

* Promoting the 'added-value' of hiring a professional.

* Making it easy for people to find a gardener and to buy with confidence.

* Be a source of information and support to help your business grow.
