As a plantsman and ex-college lecturer, my work mainly involves the maintenance and development of many gardens in West Kent. I tend to work very closely with keen and friendly owners, mostly on a weekly basis, although complete border designs are also part of my work. Apart from the skilled border maintenance I provide, my main interests are in the New Perennial Movement, and the idea of naturalistic planting that guides my designs. I also teach many aspects of gardening and garden history, and I hold teaching qualifications (DTTLS) as well as having a Masters in Garden History.
